Noelle and Daddy

Lately it's been so nice to see Noelle going out of her way to be with her dad and be interested/obsessed with where he is. She started this newest, and hopefully permanent phase, a few weeks ago when she started waking up every morning when he would leave for work. I would hear the door close and then without fail Noelle would start to cry. Her bed is situated in a way where she can look out the window so the door must have woken her up each time and she would look out and then start crying for her dad. Sometimes she would cry out to me "Where's daddy going" even though she already knows. Other times she would cry for Josh saying "Don't leave daddy, I'm going to miss you". He can't hear this of course so she would then come into my bed and I would explain again how dad is going to come home later after he teaches the kids at school. It's so wonderful, even though sad at times, to see her so wrapped up in her dad. She runs to him most times when he comes home from work now, usually shouting "Daddy, daddy!". And man does Josh love it! He is eating it up at the moment since as most of you know, Noelle and Josh have had a bumpy couple of years with Noelle going in and out of being openly affectionate with him.

Thankfully we seem to have come to a point where she seems to have leveled off at being affectionate with her dad, wanting to be with him, and going out of her way to include him in her world. She doesn't cry for him anymore when he leaves in the morning, which is a good thing I think because that was heartbreaking. She has continued to be really excited though when he comes home and talks about him throughout the day, asking when he is coming home. Noelle loves all of us being together, this includes big family hugs, all of us laying on our bed watching a show with her, and she loves for all of us to play games together.  She's at a fun age, still difficult at times, but fun. I'll have to write some of the difficult stories soon because they have not been in short supply lately either : )

aw, I am so glad to hear that she is being so sweet and affectionate with Josh; that must mean so much to him, I am sure.

And how cute that she loves big family hugs! You better cherish that, cause you never know how long she'll be up for one of those!

It's cute because she likes to say now "hugs for everyone!" and gives everyone a hug. And then she'll say "kisses for everyone" and so on. But then tonight she added "touches for everyone!". Sounds weird but she then proceeded to touch our faces gently like you would a baby : ) It was so cute!

lol! I am gonna have to try "touches for everyone!"

Well now... I happen to love not only Noelle, Maddy, AND Zoe, I love baby number three (whom, I think it is safe to call baby "Erin" for now) who may not be a twinkle in her parents eyes YET, but that's how much love I have for the offspring of Christine Robinson. Beat THAT Jess. I triple dog dare ya!

erin, you've done well, very well; a lesser competitor may give up at this point, but well, we all know that I am a worthy opponent.

So, I will say that I love not only Noelle, Mads, Zoe, and any children that may be in Josh and Christine's future--but I also love any puppies that are in Zoe's future.

Uh-uh, I played the puppy card.

and I think it's pretty safe to say that these puppies will probably be called Jessica. I'm just saying.

Ahhh Jess... You have made me laugh the most I've laughed all day. And I miss you! Christine what say you to all this meshuggah talk? You must feel that you and every member and potential future member of your family are very well loved...and that perhaps your two friends are a little strange... And did I mention how much I will love the offspring Of Maddy and Noelle? (and of course baby "Erin?") ;)

Oh erin, THAT was low--these girls are so tiny and already you talk of their offspring?!?!

I didn't want to do it...but you are forcing my hand.

(sigh)

I love the entire household of Josh and Christine, which would have to include the fleas on Zoe. That's right, I said it. I love the fleas on Zoe.

Bring it, Howard.
